Image Alteration

While altering an image comprimises the image's fidelity to reality, it can improve the image's ability to capture the feeling of the moment. Take for example these two images. In the first image the dog's leash is a distraction that takes away from the overall emotion of the photo. By removing the leash digitally, we can express what caught the photographer's attention.
